With a commanding sense of rhythm Robin performs blues in the San Diego area at concerts, civic events, bars and restaurants. Performing since 1967 Robin’s vocal and guitar style have had many years to mature. The primitive blues style of the Mississippi Delta is the primary influence on his solo shows. Robin has drawn from the styles of Robert Johnson, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Elmore James and many others to present his own unique spin on the blues.
Currently Robin performs at the House of Blues downtown San Diego, Nate‘s Garden Grill in City Heights, Blind Lady Ale House in Normal Heights, ArtWalk in Little Italy, Adams Unplugged and Adams Street Fair to mention a few. “I’m not so big on touring…I’ve gone on short tours to the Pacific Northwest, Texas and England but there’s plenty for me to do right here in San Diego and I am happy doing that.”
